The Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management (ODPM) and the Digicel Foundation completed the final phase of the ‘Preparing You!’ programme. ‘Preparing You!’ began in 2015 and is a disaster management and evacuation emergency programme for persons with special needs. It focused on reducing vulnerability and building the capacity of a marginalized segment of the Trinidad and Tobago population. 

This programme was supported by the Digicel Foundation, The GEF and the Small Grants Programme of the UNDP and The Australian Agency for International Development (AUSAid). These stakeholders directly supported the Government of Trinidad and Tobago, through the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management to directly change the lives of over 500 special needs persons and their families and caregivers.
