Launch of IDB/ODPM Project - Improving the Delivery of Comprehensive Disaster Management

In response to a request from the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) is providing non-reimbursable technical support to the Government through the technical cooperation Improving the Delivery of Disaster Risk Management (TT-T1017) in an effort to improve the following disaster management areas: riskinformation and education, institutional capacity, investment in prevention and mitigation, and financial risk management systems. The executing agency is the Ministry of National Security through the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management (ODPM).

To start this project, a launch has been proposed. Expected to bring remarks at this launch are:

  • Mr. Iwan Sewberath Misser, Representative - Inter-American Development Bank, Trinidad and Tobago
  • Dr. Stephen Ramroop, Chief Executive Officer, ODPM
  • The Honourable Colin Partap, Minister in the Ministry of National Security
