ODPM conducts on-the-ground reconnaissance of the Manzanilla-Mayaro Main Road
On Tuesday 6th December, 2022, an ODPM team deployed to the Manzanilla-Mayaro area to conduct on-the-ground reconnaissance of the destroyed Main Road. Field assessments were conducted using Geographic Information Systems tools to map the damaged road infrastructure and the new water breaches created.
Additional aerial reconnaissance will be conducted to further accurately map the effected area. These activities will aid the development of mitigative steps to reduce future impacts.
