The ODPM hosted a Hazard Sensitisation and Emergency Preparedness booth, as well as facilitated presentations at AMCHAM T&T's 26th Annual Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) Conference & Exhibition.
Exhibition attendees learned about personal, community and workplace preparedness, as well as to be cognizant that disaster readiness activities should be undertaken year-round.
Presentations were facilitated by the Planning and Development Officer of the ODPM, Mr Anwar Baksh, who spoke on:
Building Public-Private Partnership to improve Disaster Resilience; and
Areas of Financing to support Business Continuity Planning within the region (presented on behalf of the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA))
