What is RSS?

RSS (really simple syndication) is commonly referred to as feeds. It allows you see when websites have been updated with new information. They are popularly used for accessing news headlines; however, they can be used to receive feeds from diverse types of information online.

How can I use RSS?

The first thing you need is something called an RSS reader or a Feed reader. This reader is a bit of software which will automatically check for new feeds from any website that you have subscribed to. It will allow you to read all new articles that are available. Once you have chosen an RSS reader, all you have to do is choose the content you want delivered to your computer.

How do I get a RSS Reader?

There is a range of different RSS readers available and new versions are appearing all the time. Some web browser come with readers built-in in them already. Different readers work on different operating systems, so you will need to take this into account when you make your choice.
