Adverse Weather Alert Cancelled

The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) cancelled the Adverse Weather Alert #2 – Green Level on Saturday 18th August, 2018 at 7:49 a.m.

The TTMS has advised that the most intense activity associated with the tropical wave has passed Trinidad and Tobago. However, local effects are likely to produce some afternoon showers, especially over northern areas of Trinidad. Citizens are advised to continue to monitor weather conditions and to maintain a state of preparedness.

The ODPM reminds all citizens if impacted to contact your Municipal Corporation or the Tobago Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) through its toll-free hotline numbers.

Citizens can also learn more about how to prepare for this Hurricane Season by downloading the ODPM’s Hurricane Preparedness eGuide at www.odpm.gov.tt/hurricaneguide.

WE WISH TO UNDERSCORE THAT TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO IS NOT CURRENTLY UNDER ANY TROPICAL STORM OR HURRICANE THREAT, WATCH OR WARNING.
