Tropical Storm Warning for TOBAGO

The Meteorological Service has placed the island of Tobago under a Tropical Storm Warning.
A Tropical Storm Warning means the island will begin to feel the effects of Tropical Storm conditions in less than 24 hours.
Contact was made with NEMA Tobago and it was stated that they have fully activated their Emergency Operations Centre. Vulnerable communities have been notified and all the response agencies are on stand-by to respond.
Trinidad remains under a Severe Weather Warning.
This means that the island will experience showers and thundershowers and strong winds. Persons are urged to remain alert and to continually check their preparedness measures.
ODPM maintains its partial activation and will continue to monitor developments in Tobago and keep regular communication with its counterpart.
All emergency services and partner agencies are on stand-by ready to respond should there be any reports of incidents resulting from the heavy rains and gusty winds.

- Highways Division of the Ministry of Works and Transport
- SWMCOL Disaster Response Team
- Special Anti-Crime Unit of Trinidad and Tobago
Should persons wish to report any situations arising out of the heavy rains and the gusty winds they can call the Emergency Services and or ODPM at 640-1285/8905.
The public will be advised when necessary of any developments.
