Tropical Storm Felix Update

The Tropical Storm Warning for Tobago was discontinued by the Meteorological Service at 5 am. The Severe Weather Warning for Trinidad was also discontinued at 2 am.
Tobago NEMA reported that nine shelters were opened as a precautionary measure, adding that only one family is being temporarily housed at this time.
There were also reports of minor flooding and several landslides that were cleared by the Division of Infrastructure and Public Utilities.
In Trinidad, the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management received a few reports from the Diego Martin area.
ODPM maintains its partial activation and will continue to monitor developments in Tobago and keep regular communication with its counterpart.
Should persons wish to report any situations arising out of the heavy rains and the gusty winds they can call the Emergency Services and or ODPM at 640-1285/8905.
The public will be advised when necessary of any developments.
